Privacy Policy

Effective [date]

NextCall is operated by [operator name] (“we”). It helps home-service businesses keep track of customer inquiries and follow-ups. This policy explains what information the app holds, why, and what choices you have.

Who this applies to

  • Account users: business owners and staff who sign in to NextCall.
  • Their customers: homeowners whose inquiries a business records in the app. The business decides what to record about its customers and is responsible for having the right to do so. We hold that information on the business's behalf.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We never store your actual password.
  • Business details: company name, trade, time zone, and optionally service area and business phone.
  • Inquiry records your business enters: customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, service addresses or ZIP codes, request descriptions, notes, follow-up reminders, booking outcomes and the history of changes.
  • Security data: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in, and short-lived records of sign-in and sign-up attempts used to block password guessing and abuse. Those records store email addresses and internet (IP) addresses only in scrambled (hashed) form and are deleted after 24 hours.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent personal information.
  • We don't show ads or use advertising or tracking cookies.
  • NextCall doesn't send texts, emails or calls to anyone. Call and message buttons only open your own device's phone, messages or email app.
  • The installed app doesn't store inquiry data on your device for offline use.

How we use information

Only to provide the service: to show your team its inquiries and reminders, produce your reports and exports, keep accounts secure, and fix problems. Each business's data is kept separate and is visible only to that business's team members.

Service providers

The app and its database run on third-party hosting providers, which store the data on our behalf:[hosting and database providers]. They may not use it for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

  • Account and inquiry data: until the business asks us to delete its workspace, or closes its account.
  • “Archived” inquiries are hidden, not deleted.
  • Sign-in and sign-up security records: 24 hours.
  • Demo workspaces (made-up sample data): deleted automatically after 24 hours.

Your choices

  • Workspace owners can export all of their workspace's data as spreadsheet (CSV) files at any time.
  • To access, correct or delete information, or to delete a whole workspace, email [contact email]. If you are a homeowner whose details a business recorded, you can also contact that business directly.

Security

Passwords and sign-in tokens are stored only in hashed form, connections use encryption (https), and every request is checked so one business can't see another's data. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected businesses if we learn of a breach involving their data.

Children

NextCall is a business tool and isn't intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell account owners in the app or by email.
